Kazuki is known for creating the animation movie Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Takahashi enjoyed playing card games, tabletop role-playing games, shogi, mahjong, and other games.

The manga artist was honoured by Comic-Con International with the Inkpot award in 2015 for his extraordinary contributions to comics.

He died at the age of 60 on July 6, 2022.
